We are looking for someone to help our organisation connect with grassroots communities across rural and island Scotland. As Engagement Catalyst, you will build our member services, engaging proactively with our membership, especially those living in isolated rural and island communities, to inspire them, develop their skills and activism, and support them to influence the policy decisions that affect their daily lives.
You will also enable our members and other grassroots networks to engage with the Scottish Rural and Islands Parliament (SRIP) in November 2023, and with the European Rural Parliament which will be held in 2024.
This is a new role within the organisation and there is scope for you to shape the job and the activities you deliver to your own passions and areas of expertise.
What we offer: As well as a competitive salary and pension scheme (6% employer’s contribution), we offer the following benefits:
- Flexible working opportunities including, but not limited to condensed hours, flexible hours of work, reduced hours and job share.
- Opportunity to work one day a week based in a work hub that is local to you
- 33 days annual leave pro rata
- 2 days per annum volunteering leave
- £400 per annum personal allowance for training, development or wellbeing-related activities
- Opportunities to travel across Scotland and internationally
